Make your sidebar your own
Product team · Reviewed
The sidebar organizes your workspace into expandable sections. Open a section to see its pages; opening a page reveals its section so you can see where you are. Home and Workspaces stay within reach. Desktop and mobile web use the same organization.
Open Customize my sidebar to choose personal shortcuts. Select the tools you use most, arrange them with Up and Down, and choose Save my shortcuts. The first five optional shortcuts appear together; expand the shortcut disclosure to reach any others. Every destination also remains in its usual section, whether or not you pin it. Search can find any page available to your role.
Clear optional shortcuts clears your selection in the editor; save to apply it. Restore default navigation saves the audience-specific default with no optional shortcuts. These choices apply only to your named account in the current workspace. Your teammate’s navigation is unchanged, and no page, feature or record is disabled.
Only destinations your current role can use appear in the editor. An invited participant with restricted access cannot pin a private business module or use a saved pin to acquire permission. Revoking or narrowing access removes unavailable destinations when preferences are read. New tools appear in their relevant sections without adding more shortcuts.
Preferences are saved on the server and used by desktop and mobile web navigation. Two tabs editing simultaneously must review the latest revision rather than silently overwriting each other. They are not a shared business setting. The named-account /api/v1/preferences/navigation interface uses the same allowlist, revision and request-identity checks.
