Task boards, priorities and private business work

Organize tasks on a board

Open Tasks → Board for one view of private project work and the work of running your business. A project task still belongs to its original wedding or job. A business task can cover bookkeeping, portfolio updates, equipment maintenance or team preparation without creating a fictional wedding.

Use columns, priorities and assignments

The initial board has To do, In progress and Done. A named workspace owner or administrator can rename or reorder columns and add up to sixteen. Keep at least one open and one completed column. Drag a card to move it, or use its keyboard-accessible column selector. Moving into a completed column updates the underlying task's completion; other task lists and shared completion views use that same record.

Set Urgent, High, Normal or Low priority. Cards are ordered by priority, then due date. Assign a current teammate who already has private workspace access. Assigning a task never grants permissions or adds a billable seat.

For example, a planner moves “Confirm transport manifest” into Waiting on a reply, raises it to High priority and assigns their existing operations teammate. Their separate business task, “Prepare October expense records,” stays on the same board without appearing in the couple's planning tasks.

Business and project records

Project tasks retain their existing notes, dates, recurring occurrence history and completion behavior. Use Tasks → List to create wedding tasks and Tasks → Recurring to configure a repeat. The Board shows those same wedding tasks alongside independent business tasks. Use Add business task for work independent of a project. Business tasks support notes, dates, priorities, assignments, archive and restore. They appear in private calendar deadlines, business workload reporting and workspace search.

Filter by task type, wedding, assigned teammate, status or search text. Archived business tasks have their own view. A column shows its first fifty matching cards and the full matching count; use the filters to reach a narrower working set. The API offers revision-bound pagination.

Changes and recovery

Each update binds the current task revision and board definition. If another person edits the task or changes the columns, refresh and review the current values before retrying. After an interrupted response, Check saved request retries the same identity rather than creating another task.

A column in use cannot be removed or have its completion meaning changed. Move its tasks first, including archived business tasks. Renaming a column or changing its order preserves the tasks. Completion made elsewhere remains authoritative: a task is displayed in a compatible open or completed column even if its last selected column no longer matches that state.

Only current full workspace operators can use the private board. Named owner/admin access is required to configure columns; scoped integrations can read and update tasks with the appropriate task permission. Shared wedding participation does not expose another business's task board.
