1. Show the difference between a draft edit, a published timeline change and a day-of delay.
2. Demonstrate which recipients get email, SMS or a role-specific reminder, and how opt-outs are handled.
3. Show failed delivery, recipient acknowledgement and what happens when two collaborators edit at once.

How to make the tradeoff

Use the same realistic wedding on both systems. Ask for a live demonstration of the whole change-and-acknowledge sequence rather than treating a long help index as a performance test.

Use a scorecard with four evidence labels: demonstrated live, documented, requires configuration, and not yet verified. An unanswered question is not proof that a capability is absent. Ask for the plan, provider setup and permissions used in the demonstration.
