Preview exactly what the couple can see
Open a wedding and choose Preview the couple portal in Share with the couple. The preview works while sharing is off. It uses the same display and current information as the couple’s page, including your business branding, inspiration, booked team, hotel details, posted agreements and questions. Full width and Narrow width let you inspect the layout.
The banner tells you whether sharing is currently on. Previewing neither creates a link nor turns sharing on. Signing, payments, signed-record downloads, questionnaire saves and testimonial submissions are disabled. The preview does not contain the live sharing or payment tokens. Ordinary external hotel and branding links remain external links.
Posted proposals deliberately include the prices written for this couple. Internal business notes, vendor costs, client contact fields, budget targets, private resource assignments and unrelated business records are excluded. Anyone who receives the live couple link can see this couple-facing content. Use the separate named collaborator invitations when someone needs only selected tasks, files or sections.
Published timelines stay separate from preparation
A wedding with a coordination plan shows only its latest published snapshot, labeled with the published revision and timezone. The portal lists published moment headings, times, durations and locations, grouped by their actual calendar date. It does not read the working draft, alternate scenarios, equipment allocations, internal checklists or legacy timing overlays. Publish a reviewed schedule in the coordination editor to update the couple’s page.
If a coordination plan has never been published, the page explains that the schedule is being prepared. It does not fall back to quiet draft times. Existing weddings that do not yet have a coordination plan retain their original timeline, clearly labeled Working schedule. Those legacy timeline edits remain visible until the wedding adopts the published coordination workflow.
The general couple portal includes all published moment headings. Role-specific day-of recipients and named collaborators use their separate scoped schedules; assigning a moment to a role does not hide its heading from the couple portal. Keep private discussions out of couple-facing timeline headings.
Review and revoke access
After inspecting the preview, return to the wedding. Create a share link enables the live couple page. Turn off removes public access; New link replaces the old link. A preview continues to work for authorized business operators after public sharing is turned off. A restored or voided signing record keeps its existing signing lifecycle; previewing cannot change it.
The preview requires a current named account with full access to the business that owns this client relationship. Shared-wedding participation alone does not reveal another business’s proposal prices or couple answers. The /api/v1/couple-portal-preview?weddingId=… interface uses the same permission checks and returns the same token-free read-only projection. Private pages and responses are not indexable.
The live page reads current records when opened or refreshed. This portal does not claim live push refresh or offline editing. Existing public media URLs remain subject to the separate private-storage migration gate.
