Couple planning

Build a shared couple plan with clear decisions

Product documentation · Reviewed

Your couple workspace opens on Our wedding, with a next step based on the details you have actually recorded. You can start before choosing a date or venue.

Start from a professional’s invitation

Accept the invitation into your Couple workspace using its named, verified email. Our wedding then shows the shared wedding details and asks you to choose explicitly: create your private planning space, or connect an existing unlinked plan in this same couple workspace. Review the event, confirm the connection and, for a new plan, enter your names.

A new plan copies only the shared title, date and venue. Your planner’s client file, contacts, rates, notes, agreements and invoices remain in their business workspace. Reusing a plan preserves your own existing details, guests, budget, decisions and inspiration. Nothing is matched or merged by name or email. A plan already connected elsewhere, completed or archived cannot be selected for reuse.

The free couple tier includes one active wedding when billing is activated, so an existing active plan should be reused or completed before another is created. Concurrent requests cannot create an extra project beyond that limit. If the shared details change while you review them, reload the page. If the response is interrupted, Check original connection recovers the same result. Removal from the shared wedding stops access to that connection, while your own private plan remains yours.

Begin with a shared direction

The brief asks how the wedding should feel, up to five priorities, a spending ceiling, a reserve, a working guest estimate and your decision rhythm. Saving the ceiling and guest estimate updates the wedding details. If someone changes those numbers elsewhere while your form is open, refresh before saving again.

Keep each partner on their own account. Use People & access to invite your partner into this couple workspace with full access. A professional invited to a shared wedding has a different view and cannot approve these private decisions through that invitation.

Propose, then approve

For example, add a venue decision with two options, their written estimates and original source links. Selecting the conservatory proposes that option. Under Together, two distinct active members with full access must approve it. Clicking twice from one account counts once. Choose the one-person approval rule when that is the decision you have agreed to delegate.

Editing the options clears earlier approvals. An agreed decision must be reopened before its choices change. This preserves the difference between a new possibility and an option both people reviewed. A saved estimate is not an invoice, a vendor booking or a payment.

Give inspiration a purpose

Open Private design boards to collect images, palettes and source references in the same revisioned editor used by professionals. You can upload privately without leaving the editor, or select authorized Pinterest references. In Inspiration with a reason, save the detail you want to adapt, add swatches and connect the relevant design board. Link the card to the venue, design or service decision it informs. An image saved for inspiration does not establish permission to publish it on your wedding website or use it in advertising.

Earlier inspiration cards retain their image and decision IDs. Recover this earlier image privately opens the reviewed recovery panel in Design boards; it can recover an owned legacy storage image or use an uploaded replacement. Existing cards begin showing the private image after recovery. See design board recovery for review permissions and retiring old public copies.

Use the guest, budget, coordination and website links when you are ready to move from a decision into the corresponding planning work.

Bring in your professional team

On Our wedding, choose Invite professionals. Review the wedding name, date, timezone and venue that will become shared context, then explicitly prepare the wedding for professional invitations. If those details change before confirmation, reload and review them again. A wedding already linked to a shared record opens its existing team.

Invite each planner, photographer or vendor by their verified email and audience role. They accept into their own workspace. Grant event-detail editing only when needed; additional guest and hospitality sections use separate permissions after they join. Their business financial records remain private and an invitation does not create a paid seat.

Invite your partner opens this couple workspace’s people-and-access screen. Partner workspace access and professional wedding participation are independently managed and independently revocable. Preparing shared wedding details sends no email by itself; copy and share the explicitly created invitation through your preferred channel.
