Design and share your venue in 3D

Product documentation · Reviewed

Open a wedding and choose Venue & seating. The Venue Designer uses the same saved layout for the 2D plan, 3D room, guest seats, furniture list and setup packet.

Start with the room

Under Room measurements & walls, enter the width, depth and ceiling height. Switch the displayed room measurements between meters and feet. Layout files store meters so changing the display does not change the room.

Use a rectangular or L-shaped room, or choose Draw room walls. In the 2D plan, click each corner in order and finish the room. Add doors and windows to the numbered walls. A window's sill height is the distance from the floor to its bottom edge.

If you have a floor-plan image, upload a PNG or JPEG in Venue captures & custom furniture. Choose Use as 2D guide, set its size and position, and trace the walls. The image does not establish the scale by itself.

Arrange it in 2D or 3D

Choose furniture from the library or add a basic table, stage, bar or sofa. Enter the real rental dimensions in Selected object. Width and depth describe the footprint; height describes the vertical size. Table seats and shown chairs remain connected to the guest seating tools.

Drag furniture to move it. In the 2D plan, arrow keys move a selected object and R rotates it. Give objects the same group name to move them together. A locked member stops the group moving. Use Undo to reverse a move.

Small objects can sit on another surface. Move the object fully above a table or stage footprint, then choose that surface in Place on a surface. The editor checks its height and support. These checks help spot layout problems; they are not a gravity simulation or a substitute for confirming the physical setup.

Use Walk through to view the arrangement from standing or seated height. Drag to look around; use the arrows or W A S D to move. Save useful camera views, such as the entrance or the couple's table. Export image downloads the current 3D view.

Bring in a venue capture

Private file uploads require the configured storage service. Import a self-contained GLB room model or .splat capture. Other capture formats must first be exported or converted by the capture provider. A splat is a visual record of the space, not editable furniture or collision geometry. Keep measured walls and obstacles in the layout for walkthrough boundaries and clearance checks.

Choose Use in this room, then adjust position, rotation, tilt and scale. Use Measure to select two points on the capture. Enter the actual measured distance between those points and choose Confirm scale. Check a second measurement before relying on the layout. Re-scaling a capture requires a fresh confirmation.

Models can be up to 128 MiB; images up to 20 MiB. Splat files are limited to two million points. Uploads use private multipart storage and verify the original file's checksum. If interrupted, select the same file in the same tab to resume. Files are retained while saved layouts, templates and shared versions reference them.

Custom furniture and AI generation

Upload a self-contained GLB object and choose Place in room, or attach it to a selected item. Enter its real dimensions; a generated model is a visual reference, not a measured product drawing. GLB files with external textures, unsupported compression or unsafe structure are rejected with an explanation.

Optional Tripo generation accepts a description or a source image. Optional Polycam processing accepts a supported photo-session ZIP or a connected capture. These paid services require business integration approval, provider configuration and spending enrollment before activation. Review the shown request and maximum charge before submitting. An uncertain provider response is held for investigation instead of automatically submitting another paid job.

Ordinary photo sets do not automatically become Gaussian splats. The provider's splat workflow requires its camera poses and intrinsics. Supported reconstruction inputs and activation details are described in the upload panel.

Save, compare and share

Save as an alternative creates another arrangement for a rain plan, ceremony or evening reception. The wedding seating chart changes only when you explicitly choose Apply to wedding seating chart. If someone has changed seating since your review, compare it before replacing it.

A shared walkthrough is an expiring, read-only snapshot of the saved layout. Review its contents before creating the link. It includes visible room and object labels, geometry, selected models and captures. It excludes guest assignments, guest rules, vendor links, budget links, inventory reservations and private setup notes. Anyone with the link can view that snapshot until expiry or revocation. Later edits do not alter it; create a new link for a new version.

Private download links expire after 60 seconds. Revoking a walkthrough blocks new requests; an already issued short-lived download link or a file someone has saved cannot be recalled.

Exports and recovery

Layout file saves the complete editable layout. Importing it into the same wedding retains seating references. Importing it into another wedding removes guest and business links; uploaded models still must belong to your business. Furniture list exports quantities and dimensions as CSV. The saved Venue packet includes measured drawings, service counts and setup instructions.

Past saved versions can be reviewed and restored together with their seating. Saving from an old screen stops instead of overwriting another person's work. Retrying an interrupted save uses the same request so it does not create duplicate layouts.

Choose Expand view to give the room the full screen. Press Escape to return to the editor. Table labels can be toggled when you want to see the furniture without text covering it.
